Falcon 10X launch

Dassault Aviation announced today a new Falcon jet that will offer a level of comfort, versatility, and technology unmatched by any other executive jet. With a range of 7,500 nautical miles, the Falcon 10X will fly nonstop from São Paulo to anywhere in Europe, São Paulo to Dubai and even Auckland, New Zealand, from New York to Shanghai, from Los Angeles to Sydney, from Hong Kong to New York, or from Paris to Santiago. The maximum speed will be Mach 0.925.

“Today we are introducing a new benchmark in business aviation,” said Dassault President and CEO Eric Trappier.

“The Falcon 10X will offer an unparalleled passenger experience on short and long-haul flights, along with innovative safety features from Dassault’s front-line fighter technology. We have optimized every aspect of the aircraft with the passenger in mind and set a new level of capability for ultra-long-range aircraft.”

The Falcon 10X will enter service in late 2025.

Taking cabin modularity to an unprecedented level.

The 10X will have the largest and most comfortable cabin on the market and will offer greater modularity than any other aircraft in its class, with a selection of multiple interior configurations. The 10X is large enough to accommodate four cabin zones of equal length, but owners can configure their cabin to create a truly customized interior, including, for example, an expanded dining/conference area, a dedicated entertainment area with a large screen monitor, a cabin with a full queen-size bed, or an enlarged master suite with a private shower.

“The 10X will be more than just another big step forward in business aviation. It will certainly be the best business jet available in the ultra-long-range category and will remain so for a long time,” said Trappier.

The 10X will have a larger cabin cross-section than some regional jets. Its cabin will be 6.6 feet (2.03 m) tall and 9.1 feet (2.77 m) wide. This will make it nearly 3 inches (7.6 cm) wider and 1 inch (2.5 cm) taller than the widest and tallest purpose-built business jet currently in operation.

Pressurization will also be the best in the market, with passengers experiencing a pressure altitude of 3,000 feet in the cabin while flying at 41,000 feet. A state-of-the-art filtration system will provide 100% pure air. The aircraft will be at least as quiet as the Falcon 8X, currently the quietest business jet in service.

New structures, new materials, ultra-efficient energy

The 10X will feature an entirely new fuselage with extra-large windows – nearly 50% larger than those on the Falcon 8X. Thirty-eight windows will line the fuselage, making the cabin the most light-filled in business aviation.

The high-speed wing will be made of carbon fiber composite material for maximum strength, reduced weight, and minimal drag. Adapted for speed and efficiency with a very high lift coefficient, it will be equipped with high-lift devices offering greater maneuverability at low approach speeds.

The twin-engine jet will be powered by the most advanced and efficient engine in business aviation, the Rolls Royce Pearl® 10X, currently under development. The 10X is the latest, largest, and most powerful version of the Pearl series, offering more than 18,000 pounds of thrust.

A major advance in cockpit technology

The Falcon 10X cockpit will set a new standard in intuitive design, with touch screens throughout the cabin. A state-of-the-art Digital Flight Control System, derived directly from Dassault’s latest military technology, will provide an unprecedented level of flight precision and protection, including a revolutionary new recovery mode button.

A single smart throttle will serve as the primary power control, connecting both engines to the Digital Flight Control System, which will automatically manage the power of each engine as needed in different flight scenarios.

Thanks to Dassault’s innovative FalconEye® combined vision system—the first to offer enhanced and synthetic vision capabilities—combined with dual HUDs capable of serving as primary flight displays, the 10X will be able to operate in zero ceiling/zero visibility conditions.

“We have set the bar incredibly high for our new Falcon,” said Trappier. “But I can safely say that we have placed this aircraft at the top of the market.”
